Indonesia & Laos

Our 3 months trip will bring us to the more remote places in Indonesia.
Starting at the beautiful island of Flores we will cross the island and than embark for a 3-days boat tour around Komodo and Rinca to finally see the dragons.
From there we will fly to Irian Jaya (Papua) where we shall visit the Dani people in the Baliem Valley. Than it is time for us to relax at Raja Ampat, where you can find some of the most beautiful diving areas on this planet.
We will proceed to the Banda Islands, where the nutmeg grows that provided the unlimited wealth for Hollands Golden Age. From the Moluccans we fly to Makassar at Sulawesi and we will cross the island from South to North.
Next is Java, the sunrise at Bromo, magnificent Prambanan and Borobodur, one of the wonders of the world.
Than it is time for luxury in Singapore, but only a few days as the Orangutans in Sumatra are waiting for us.
From Medan we will go up North to Chiangrai, only to cross the border with Laos and than slow boating the Mekong river to Luang Prabang. We might get some company in our slow travel to the South of Laos. After 3 weeks of Laos we will try to spend our last days at a little Thai island before returning to Amsterdam
